Well for me the worst part of all of this is that I feel they have painted themselves into a corner by squandering trade assets and cap space. I just can't see how they can improve player wise to any large degree next year. I also have no confidence at all in the GM and coach.

This is a significant issue. They are basically ar the same spot they would have been in they made absolutely no moves the moment they won the McDavid draft lotto. But we gave up all of our moveable assets in doing so

I have no problem dealing any player on the Oilers, McDavid included. It's the return that is key.

We are now a highly illiquid, top heavy, one player dependent team
