I'd hope we mentioned to him he'd be welcome back here....maybe for a couple of years.
I'm sure as hard as getting traded is, going to a contender has got to be exciting.

Stalberg is very solid, speed to burn. Hands aren't so hot though. Made lots of chances happen on the PK because of his speed.

Same. I think with a younger/quicker center that could be a very solid 4th line.
Me too. I thought he was a perfect fit for our 4th/PK. I'd much rather him than Stempniak.

Stalberg back this coming offseason to go on a 4th line with say Nordy/McGinn and Brown/Wallmark would make me sooooo happy.

2 first rounders, and maybe one extra in another round? I don't remember off the top of my head. I think one of those picks ended up netting us Bickell and TT.
I think it was 2010 where we had something like 11 picks, and ended up trading two of them for Riley Nash and Bobby Sanguinetti.

Last year we had 10 picks, but made 9 because we traded one in the Bickell/Teravainen trade (along w/a 2017 3rd).
This year we have 11 and counting.
EDIT: Interestingly enough, we've had 9 picks in 3 out of the last 5 drafts (but only 4 picks in 2013). We've made a total of 38 picks in the last 5 years. 35 of those selections are either still in the system or we still have the rights to those players.

Round 1: CAR and LAK (Sekera): we used both
Round 2: CAR (we used), NYR (Staal): we sent to Chicago in Teravainen deal
Round 3: CAR, WPG (Tlusty), BOS (Liles): We used all 3
This year:
Round 1: CAR
Round 2: CAR, NYR (Staal), PIT (Hainsey)
Round 3: CAR, NJD (Ruutu), OTT (Stalberg)
We also had Chicago's 2017 3rd rounder that we got in the Versteeg deal, but sent it back to Chicago as part of the Teravainen deal.

My gut tells me we've got one more trade in us, maybe two if we do something at goaltender. So I could see us garnering another 4th rounder if McClement is moved.
