After a call-up one week ago from the AHL‘s Worcester Sharks, San Jose Sharks defenseman Matt Tennyson netted his first NHL goal, a game-tying goal, in the Sharks’ 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

With the Oilers leading 3-2, Tennyson took a pass in the neutral zone from Tommy Wingels and skated into the Oilers zone along the right wall. Tennyson took a fairly harmless looking shot from the circle that beat Oliers’ goaltender Ben Scrivens on the far side to tie the game at three.… read more
