Edmonton Oilers forward Steve Pinizzotto packed a lot into his first NHL game of the 2014-15 season. The 30-year-old right wing scored his first NHL goal, added an assist, and dropped the gloves to battle the Vancouver Canucks‘ Derek Dorsett to complete the “Gordie Howe hat trick” in the Oilers 5-4 loss to the Canucks.
On his goal, Pinizzotto picked up a loose puck just outside the Canucks’ zone, skated in on the right side and wristed a shot past Canucks’ goaltender Ryan Miller to make the score 2-1 in favor of Vancouver.… read more
