How heartbreaking, but also oddly heartwarming to see Fleury in his Knights uniform, smiling.

Glad to see him go from my Hometown team, to my new city's team, so I'm not complaining. Just hope the city sticks behind him.

Remember Vegas fans! Holla-for-Haula!!!!!!

Minnesota fans have been yelling that since his college days with the Gophers!

You guys will really love Haula-Famer as a player! He plays with pure energy, and will likely be by far and away your team's fastest player!

I clearly predicted the Marc Andre Fleury thing. At this point he's basically the Celine Dion of hockey

Thank you Vegas for taking my expansion draft virginity. Can't wait to see the puck drop.

Got it. Thank you.

At this point, I'm just trying to regurgitate what I hear.

NP, I truly wish Vegas luck moving forward! I've always been a big fan of Haula, and I did have high hopes for Alex Tuch.

Tuch has some silky smooth puck skills for a big guy... and how can you NOT like this strut!?!?! :yo:

Haula-Famer - a Minnesota fan favorite of a player since Shattuck St.Mary's days, through the Minnesota Gophers, through the Wild... He'll be missed by the State of Hockey!

Haula might be your best faceoff guy... You sure you want him on the Wing like that?

Congrats vegas fans! This team has some good youth to grow around.

As a wild and gopher fan I loved watching Haula. You'll enjoy what he brings and Tuch should be an even bigger piece later.

I look forward to visiting your new arena when the Wild roll into town!

And with that, we're done with the live festivities.

Welcome to Vegas, new Knights that will stay in Las Vegas.

Treat Deryk well. He took some heat in Calgary, but he's a very serviceable bottom pairing guy with a tonne of character.

He will be missed in Calgary!

My bad. Should probably slot him in on 4th line C to take draws.:naughty:

I wouldn't be surprised if he starts as your 2nd line center actually. He was 3rd in Minnesota and did well... you guys aren't near as deep at center. I can't see him below 3rd, but could easily see him as 2nd.

Doubt they gave him $8.25mil for 3yrs to be a 4th line player.

Also, you don't expect Perron to be on the team at the start of the season?

He is a solid player that has occasional highlight reel goals.

I personally don't understand protecting Reaves over Perron. Reaves only plays 70% of games and might get a 3rd round pick in a trade--but perhaps the blues already had plans for replacing Perron.

I think he will be great for a new team like Vegas. That's my home away from home so I'll be watching when I can. Most people never venture outside the strip but I love the whole city--and I don't gamble.

Good luck Knights!

So 4 1sts and 3 2nds, and an extra 5th and 6th for this year. 3 2nds next year too, losing a 4th but gaining Florida's 4th.
