I’m as disappointed with Canucks trade deadline as anyone, but enough hatred already. For $825k Biega is a perfect signing. Low maintenance, hardest working guy on the ice every time he dresses. Plays F when asked, doesn’t hurt the team when on the ice. This is one of the moves that actually makes sense.

Don't think he's ever whined once about sitting so frequently either... There may not be a lot of upside here but he plays hard and can slot in when needed with minimal signs of rust... Ideal depth defenseman... He's also quite vocal on the ice, which theoretically makes him a good guy to have around the youngsters as they learn the NHL ropes
