It is time for the General Managers of the HFNHL to complete their sworn duty to vote for the starters of the 2018 HFNHL All Star Game.

Doing the voting a different way this year. Getting rid of doing the google polls which have become a bit archaic. Going to use google forms.

2018 HFNHL All Star Game Voting

Remember the following Rules:

RULES:
1. You can't vote for anyone within your own organization.
2. Most votes per position wins.
3. $250,000 voted in at their position as listed above.
4. Voting is mandatory. Those GMs who do not submit a vote will have their name submitted to the Admin team for disciplinary action. They will also void their team from receiving any cash earned through All-Star selections.
5. The winning GMs will fill out the rest of the roster with their selections once the starters are named.
6. You can write in votes by adding another voting option to the poll.

Votes are due by Sunday, January 21

Please use this thread to hype your own candidates.

Happy Voting!

I haven't had any real pimping to do for a while...

GM - Jeff Kirk
Massive turnaround and big trades throughout the season see Tampa in the playoffs for the first time in forever.

D - Ivan Provorov
It's a shame there's so many good D in the Eastern Conference but Provorov deserves mention with the rest of them. The rookie currently sits 13th in D scoring (10th in rookie scoring) with 24 points, 6th in blocked shots with 73 and 9th in take aways with 41. He's doing it all as the #1 on one of the top teams in the East. Cast your write in votes for this young all around star.

F - Henrik Zetterberg
Brought in for his veteran leadership, Zetterberg is the key to the turnaround in Tampa. He's among the league leaders in scoring while ranking 5th in FO %.

F - Jack Eichel

3rd in the HFNHL in scoring. 28 goals in 44 games. 60 points. It's scary to imagine how badly we'd be doing without his contributions.

F - Matthew Tkachuk

Leading the scoring race by 14 points for rookies (20-35-55) and 2nd in the league in penalty minutes. Tkachuk appears to be the runaway favorite for the Calder trophy and one of the most statistically productive LW in the league in addition to his physicality. Eichel and Tkachuk have been the drivers for Washington's offense.

D - Justin Schultz

1 of only 4 HFNHL defensemen to have more than 28 points. Schultz has been one of the most offensively productive defenders in the league and plays an absolute ton of minutes for the Capitals.

Florida Panthers

Nikita Kucherov - East Forward

Currently the league leader in goals with 31 and is riding an 11 game point streak that has brought the Panthers back from the brink and has them pushing for the Eastern Conference crown again.

There is only one candidate for All star voting on the Jackets this year, but he should be a starter.

East Defender

D Torey Krug’s 45 points
is tops among all blue liners, and not by a little. Second in the league is defending Cup champion Pittsburgh’s Brent Burns at 37 points.

The only other defender to be within even 15 points of Krug is Carolina’s Drew Doughty, who has 30.

Oh, and his 12 goals would be a solid production for a blueliner in a full season - it’s astonishing in just 46 games.
(In case you’re wondering, that also leads the league.)

It’s a tough call for voters this year since the top three defenders are all in the East, but the performance by Krug to this point in the season is something special and deserves to be recognized.
