Does anyone know how the team for Latvia is compared to what we can expect in WJC 18? They will most likely be the ones we play for avoiding relegation.

Like the Danish team they also miss some important players (specially Roberts Blugers). Probably Deniss Smirnovs and Verners Egle could also be found on the WJC U18 roster.

The second Danish game in the tournament:

Denmark U18 - Latvia U18 4-2 (1-1,2-0,1-1)
0-1 Vlads Vulkanovs (Pauls Svars) PP2
1-1 Joachim Blichfeld (Rasmus Heine, Andreas Grundtvig) PP
2-1 Joachim Blichfeld (Rasmus Heine, Lucas Andersen) PP
3-1 Jacob Svejstrup (Daniel Nielsen, Oliver Gatz) PP
4-1 David Madsen (Lucas Andersen, Andreas Grundtvig) PP
4-2 Erlends Klavins (Arturs Homjakovs, Roberts Kalkis) PP2
SOG: 22-33 PIM: 16-10 Att: 450

Danish MVP: Joachim Blichfeld

I only streamed the second period so I cannot comment on the Danish play in general, but I liked what I saw and according to DIU it was a well deserved victory.

So far in this tournament Joachim Blichfeld is leading goalscorer for Denmark with 3 goals, and Lucas Andersen has most points of all with 1 goal and 4 assists. Also impressive performances by other 1999 born players Andreas Grundtvig and David Madsen. Best producing D-man is Rasmus Heine with 3 apples.

Funny note: All Danish goals scored in this game was in PP, and all Latvian in PP2!

So the Danish team managed 3 wins. That is promising for the WC18.
Point production topped by the two young 1999 Rødovre players, while 1998'er Joachim Blichfeld was the highest scoring!
David Madsen (1999) has been totally under the radar for me, but after moving from Vojens to "The Hill Academy" (Vaughan, Ontario) his production has soared.

The three players that has been sent home are;

Mikkel Persson (Rødovre)
Valdemar Ahlberg (Linköping)
Simon Wiuff (Herning)

Personally I'm slightly surprised that Mikkel Persson has lost his roster spot to Rasmus Mohr, he has after all participated in all 8 friendly games this year, but congratulation to Rasmus for grabbing the opportunity he was offered.
