Phil Kessel has really impressed me so far. He has dominated the tourney at such a young age. I expect him to be the next Zach Parise type player in the USA ranks. He is still small right now and will have to overcome that.

Hey Bob, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on Adam Berti who played for Oshawa Minor (and, of course, now the Generals) as I'm sure you would be quite familiar with him. Any input would be much appreciated.

I'm afraid I'm too close to Adam Berti to provide a truly objective viewpoint. I consider the Berti's great family friends. My son and Adam played lacrosse together from the time they were five years old and I coached Adam for years in lacrosse. As for hockey, Adam was always a rival and it always amazed me that good friends and teammates in lacrosse could want to kill each other in hockey but that is the nature of the Oshawa-Whitby rivalry.

Adam has everything it takes to be successful in hockey. He's a big, strong tough kid who has outstanding speed and skill and best of all, he's a great kid from a great family. I know he had some serious problems with his knees last year but it looks as though he's put that behind him. I was thrilled to see him get a chance to play on the U-18 team and I look forward to draft day. Hope he does well. This is going to be an interesting draft for me as many of the kids who will be taken I've been watching since they were just little guys.

Well, at least Evan McGrath decided to show up in one tournament.

His OHL Playoffs are gonna have him slip to the bottom half of the draft, if he wasn't there before.

Sweet! U.S. to the gold medal game. Schneider's played exceptionally well (34 saves on 36 shots today) in this tournament. His stock for the NHL draft is no doubt going to rise.

Kessel will probably be a top 3 selection in his draft year. He's eligible for the 2006 draft correct? That would put him right up there with Vasyunov, Belyakov, and a few others.

Tukonen looks to be improving his draft position every game he plays in this tournament.

What does one goal on 39 shots say for Schneider in the US nets? If anyone got to see or spoke with anyone at the game i'd love to know the quality of the shots and how schneider has looked so far and specifically in this game. His stock has got to be on the up just a little bit, especially if as everyone was saying this tournament can make or break a guys draft status.

Schenider is the real deal...haven't seen any of his latest performance yet but the stats only cement my opinion of the guy which is that he might just have the highest upside of any goalie in this draft...I write for a draft website which isn't up yet...we have Schneider ranked at #14 as of our April rankings...BTW we have Montoya rated #5 and Schwarz ranked #7.
