Stockholm

I have fallowing Stockholm very close and I think that Stockholm Syd will be of the favorites this year especially if Alexander Holtz is not sick.

They have two top -02 teams in Sweden last years. Nacka that have won every cup they set up in and DIF who was the best team in Stockholm last year and they get new players this year as well. It will be very interesting to fallow them after the summer- so far they have mixed a lot in every game and every practice so far. Some of the players that has looked really good so far is:

Sebastian Trygg (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=499332)
Kevin Bergkvist( http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=342566) , William Lönnqvist (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=546791) , Lucas Ölvestad (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=494784)
Jonathan Andersson (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=494785) , William Eklund (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=394719) , Alexander Holtz (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=344808) , Samuel Lindecrantz (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=344816) , Kim Miller (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=344819) , Adam Björklund (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=394714)

Regarding Stockholm Nord I say them in 1891 cup in April and I think they could be a challenger if they get the right players in a right line up. They have SDE who has been very successful last years but it seams that they focused on players from AIK, we will see what happens after the summer with Nord. Some players that has looked really good is, that also going to play J18elit this year is:
Jesper Vikman (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=490929)
Axel Kumlin (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=346981) Douglas Friberg (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=483756)
Emanuel Hansen (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=486878) , Norton Ã…bom (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=400888) , Henrik Hallberg (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=469554) , Linus Mattisson http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=390697) , Jerimias Lindewall http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=480558) , Filip barklund (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=453656)

Both Stockholm Nord and Syd were beaten badly in 1891 by a U16 Div 1 Club Team from north of Sweden.

Although KB65 borrowed 2 players from Modo it is a debacle for Stockholm hockey. At least a couple of names were missing in the Stockholm line-ups that should have been there. To few playmakers (in my opinion only William Eklund) and to many fancy skaters with tunnelvision.

Im sure Stockholm will be up there and contend for the Cup but i don't think they are as good as their reputation.

Was that not basically half the Ã…ngermanland team? They should be very good based on that.

No player from Djurgården played on those teams. Imagine how much of a difference Holtz would have made.

In a week or two most teams will hit the ice. It will be fun doing some traveling and see if some new young talents will pop up on the radar. I think Simon Robertsson (03 SAIK) will make an impact in U16 and even J18 this year. He is way better than all 03`s on the Swedish select team.

Got some clips to my mail from a midget tournament in Toronto a couple of weeks ago where William Eklund and Rocky Persson completely ruled the ice against some AAA elite teams from Toronto.

There were some more Swedish Fw making an impact also, Mans Seppanen (DIF) and Sebastian Bagge (Trangsund?) and a player from Finland "Rantanen" I think.

On the Defense Ludvig Lindstrom was powerful with great first passes. Another D that looked like he has developed his game was Albin Grimborg.

It will also be interesting to see if Raymond and Holzt and Wallstedt can put up the same numbers as last year. If they do we have some really spectacular in the making at 02`s

Västerbottens team to "Norrcupen". I´m guessing this is the tv-puck team with reservation for injuries.

Goalies:

Isak Posch, IF Björklöven
Karl Persson, Skellefteå AIK
Lucas Ohlander, IF Björklöven

Defensemen:

Alexander Boden, Skellefteå AIK (Born 2003)
Elias Hedman, IF Björklöven
Elias Hörnquist, Skellefteå AIK
Erik Weiborn, LN 91
Ludvig Lindström, IF Björklöven
Månns Forsfjäll, Skellefteå AIK
Olle Karlsson, Skellefteå AIK
Olle Nord-Ljunggren, IF Björklöven

Forwards:
Elias Stenman, Skellefteå AIK
Filip Wiberg, IF Björklöven
Gabriel Säll, Skellefteå AIK
Henric Arvidsson, IF Björklöven
Jacob Sundin, Skellefteå AIK
Kalle Holmberg, Skellefteå AIK
Max Johansson, Skellefteå AIK (Born 2003)
Oscar Nilsson, Skellefteå AIK
Per Jonsson, Skellefteå AIK
Rocky Persson, IF Björklöven
Sebastian Öhman, Skellefteå AIK
Simon Robertsson, Skellefteå AIK (Born 2003)

I watched an intern game yesterday (30 players, blue against white). Oscar Nilsson was totaly outstanding and ruled the ice both ways. other players that stood out was Rocky Persson (smallest player on the ice but incredible skating and technique), Måns Forsfjäll, Jacob Sundin and Erik Weiborn (huge defensemen with good skating).

Another player that haven´t caught me eye earlier was Olle Nord-Ljungren. Smallish defensemen but with good skating and he saw the ice in an incredible way.

Stockholm North and Syd are mentioned, they always put strong teams on the ice. Any other good teams? Skåne? Gothenburg? Östergötland? Värmland?

I don't think Östergötland will be as competitive as the last two years. From region Syd I would guess Småland is the strongest team. Göteborg will probably be good as well with Raymond and Kumlin.

Ångermanland has an interesting team this year as well and I would say that Västerbotten is a strong competitor.

Gästrikland also has an interesting team, probably their best team since 2012/2013 (Ölund, Lööke, Sandströms, Lucas Carlsson, Ersson, Asklöf)

Västerbotten starts Norrcupen with beating Norrbotten with 4-0 and Jämtland with 5-1. Those teams had their best rosters as far as I know. Västerbotten has left out 3 ordinary defencemans in Norrcupen, Måns Forsfjäll, Ludvig Lindström (top 2 D:s in the team) and Olle Karlsson. Also missing their top 3 forwards, Oskar Nilsson, Rocky Persson and Elias Stenman. With these guys adding, the team will be really strong. Interesting tomorrow how they will stand up without their star players against a top team like Ångermanland.

Vasterbottens also missing one of the best kept secrets in 02 in Norrcupen. Goalie Lucas Olander, he has made a great impact in J18 this preseason and probably will take the first goalie spot in Bjorklovens J18 elite this winter. He has already done two incredible games against Skellefteas J18 team and with his size and composure he looks like a new Filip Gustavsson in the making.

Will he represent Västerbotten or Östergötland?

Any idea where Theodor will play next year? How was Wictor Åhström? He put up the same amount of points as Theodor.
