If you're a good human being to other human beings, winning will come naturally.

Tucson will be a better club moving forward, because while Strome is great at generating offense, he is young and isn't aware enough in other zones, and they're replacing him with Kempe who is both fast and sticky.
That's how hockey works.

Not sure if you are making this up or not, but Strome is aware in other zones. The only knock on him where his speed and his lack of compete around the boards, both of which are greatly improved.

Sparse Tuesday night re-match with the Reign, Hill starts, Langhamer scratched.

Looke gets the 1st PP goal, Sislo gets the 2nd PP goal, 2-0 RR after 1st.

Daughter feels Garland is a victim of bullying.

Reign gets two PP goals in the 2nd to tie it up.

3rd period opens with a Mayo explosion, two goals in a row, 4-2 RR.

Merkley caps it off, 5-2 RR win.

Mayo 1st star
Merkley 2nd
Sislo 3rd

Daughter felt the 4th goal was a comment on team diversity "Latta Mayo"

Heh, nice one. (But what would she have us do? If they send Duclair down again forum 40 will get burned to the ground.)

It could also have been a description of a sandwich. Just don't throw it at Rabbit.

Anyone who regularly watches RR games, how has Crouse looked? seems like hes ben putting up good numbers but how has he looked outside of the stat sheet?

Crouse looked good with Strome, but the goals he picked up were walking through the blue paint. He can shield a puck and get it to a scorer when they get open but I wouldn't get my hopes up that he's turning into a sniper or making/finishing high tempo plays.
He can crash the zone to knock a puck loose and hit the late trailer. He can walk through the crease looking for garbage and there's not much a defender can do to stop him. The last goal last night was Crouse down low getting the puck out to Kempe, who hit Merkley streaking weak side for the put away.
He can cause chaos down low and exploit it.

Anybody live near Fort Wayne? Interested in a scouting report on this Komet who specializes in empty netters...

"Houser was not charged with Quad City's first goal of the game as the Komets scored into their own net while working a delayed call against the Mallards. With Houser off the ice for the extra attacker during the delayed call, Jamie Schaafsma inadvertently put the puck into the gaping Fort Wayne net after a wayward pass to the point bounced of the boards and slid directly into the empty goal. Quad City's goalie C.J. Motte was credited with the goal since he was the last Mallard to touch the puck. Also, Shaafsma scored the Komets' fifth goal of the game into an empty net with 56 seconds remaining after the Mallards pulled Motte in favor of an extra attacker."

Tyanulin was called up from Fort Wayne again yesterday. In other news, I picked up one of Duclair's Roadrunner game used Ribcor Trigger ASY sticks from last year for $90, really like the curve he's using.

SJ PP goal reviewed, counts.
RR goal reviewed, no goal.
SJ scores again, 2-0 SJ after 1.

McGinn, MacInnis, Latta on a nasty line.
Bunting and Sislo with Kempe in lieu of Crouse/Merkley.
Etem, Gaudet, Tyanulin generated some chances, Tyanulin has a quick release and doesn't shy away from the dirty areas. Take notes Garland.

I hope this isn't the same as last year, where Tucson starts strong and then the Coyotes rob them of all of their talent, making Tuscon fall out of it.

SJ scores to open the 2nd, Hill gets the hook.
Miska comes in and is immediately scored on, 4-0 SJ
KEL is very awful.

Bleh, I guess that's to be expected with all of the players they were missing. Why were crouse, looke and Clandening scratched?

I'm eager to hear/see what Tyanulin does.

He's back in Fort Wayne.

Wood, Cheek and Kujawinski scratched tonite.

Miska starts with Crouse, Strome and Sislo.

Good 1st, 0-0 but the top unit generated some nice chances.

MacInnis and McGinn are a nice general havoc pairing.

Get nothing on a 4 minute PP in the 2nd, then Strome picks up a turn-over right in front and roofs it.
Heat come back immediately and tie it 1-1.
