That's not true...he's right, it was only the last 9 games of the season that he didn't play center.

Otherwise, he spent the majority of last year as a center.

Under Claude Julien...Alex Galchenyuk playd 24 games, 15 of which were as a center.

You’re right. I forgot Julien put him back at Center when he first got hired. You’ve refreshed my memory. But I know for a fact he wasn’t there before that. Most fans were incredibly happy when Julien announced he was putting Galchenyuk back at center. How many games that equate too, I’m not sure. It’s hard to find splits for who played what position in specific games. The poster has been caught pulling random numbers numerous time to try and fuel his hate campaign.

2015-16 - 82 games played...62 of them were at center.

Yeah, I don't believe that number at all.

He was playing with Semin and Eller to start the season at centre and it didn't take long for Therrien to break that combination up and move Galchenyuk back to wing.

Furthermore, the poster above me is correct too.. in that when Galchenyuk returned from injury, Therrien was still coach, no? and Therrien had put him back at wing before Julien came in.

Last year, Galchenyuk played 61 games, 52 of those games were as a center.

So yes, he was playing center before that.

I'm not taking sides in this debate, just saying his numbers are right.

They aren’t right. You said 15 of 24 games under Julien were at center, making it 52 games. But you’re ignoring the games he was intact on the wing with Therrien so how reliable is your number of 15 under Julien?

Alex Galchenyuk is going back to the wing

Unless we played 62 games coming into January the previous season, I have a hard time believing the accuracy of @417 numbers

@417 was very pro Drouin before the season. But he isn’t the problem. He’s caught me on mistakes I’ve made in the past and he does pay attention to the game. It’s posters that intentionally spread false information to fit their agenda which is disgusting.

This debate is stupid, it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that's been around this team the last few years that he hasnt been given a fair shake at center. When he was, it was sparse and with the shortest leash I've ever seen. For christ's sake, Carr is being tried at center more than he is. It's like management's scared it might give better results.

Go back the day he was drafted 3rd overall. If I had to come up with the worst possible way to handle him and hinder his developement at center, this would probably be it. It's a farce.

Well you don't have to believe it - but it's the truth

I'm just giving you the information you were looking for.

Furthermore, the poster above me is correct too.. in that when Galchenyuk returned from injury, Therrien was still coach, no? and Therrien had put him back at wing before Julien came in.

No he continued to play center after returning from injury and when Julien came on board.

#of faceoffs taken by game after his injury

Jan 14 = 16
Jan 16 = 11
Jan 18 = 16
Jan 20 = 16
Jan 21 = 9
Feb 2 = 7
Feb 4 = 9
Feb 5 = 6
Feb 7 = 11
Feb 9 = 12
Feb 12 = 12

Therrien was fired after that Feb 12th game

I'm not ignoring anything - again, I don't a side in this debate...just providing and confirming the information.

I think you've got the years confused...or you're misinterpreting the numbers I provided.

The year you're referring too here is 2015-2016

Galchenyuk played all 82 games that year, 62 of which he played as a center, so the game you're referring too here, from January, is part of the 20 games in which he didn't play center.

Jesus Christ!!! Chucky got around 150 games at center under this regime!!! Drouin got 66!!!

What rope are you talking about???

150 games in 6 years. 66 games in less than 1 year. Definitely the same thing. You don't even try to use good sense or perspective.

If you want to make a case, that's fine. But all you're doing is preening and being completely disingenuous. The truth is that Chucky broke out at centre in the 16-17 season. He was among the top players in the league playing that position, and it was his great start that helped propel the team to the playoffs because if you recall, the team was mostly garbage after he was injured.

He was clearly brought back too soon from his recuperation. This happens frequently in pro sports and the Habs are as guilty of that as anyone. Besides Galchenyuk there are also Weber and Price as obvious examples. Yes players want to come back and yes the team want them back, but the onus is on the team and its medical specialists to ensure that the timing isn't premature.

The mismanagement on this team is legendary. How about trying to recognize the long list of failures that are piling up like trash during a civic worker labor strike? We all want the team to be better. That starts with the banishment of the Disaster Artist.

You called me up? Aren't you ashamed? You just plainly ****ed up man! It's you who freaking messed up with the numbers! Nice try though! Montoya forever!

You said 20 PP points to 18 EV strength. That didn’t even add up to his total point total coming into the night. You purposely removed points because a poster was calling out Drouin for being a PP specialist, which you didn’t like. You keep calling Galchenyuk a golden boy when in 6 seasons, he’s never had a stretch of consecutive games that match Drouin’s one season. As for the Montoya comment, I’m guessing that’s a dig at Price. You were the one going on about how good Price was two years ago, and if you try to deny it, I’ll bump that thread to make you look even more ridiculous.

Belial has been claiming Chucky has played 150 games at C since last year, he's not gonna let go.

Funny enough, he did play a fair share of games at C in 2015-2016, and that's his career year.

Coincidence ? Fuel to the fire ?

Marinaro is a meaningless ass clown and isn't worth discussing any further .
The entire point of this thread is to discuss the montreal media, and half of this thread is about Marinaro.
What doesn't belong in this particular thread, are arguments over personnel, draft picks, etc etc.
But if someone wants to take a dump on the local media, this is the place.

As I have already stated the flopper/ass clown isn't worth talking about .

This is so bang on............he has NEVER been given any rope at all, at centre...there have been games, where he was at centre for 4 shifts, and moved to the wing for gods sake...I really don't care where he has been listed as playing, he has not been at centre hardly at all, over his entire career...watch the games guys, watch the games.

The media has really gone soft on the Habs this year, it's beyond foolish...Why? They are on the perimeter ( like the team ) on almost every article, or comment...we should call Molson and Bergevin The Teflon Twins!!

Anyone catch Geoff Molson just on 690, its official Bergevin is gonna be back. :thumbd:

What the hell did Bergevin do or say to convince him that he is the man to fix the team, he has taken it into the gutter.

Every aspect of this team has been built by Bergevin, except Price, Gallagher and Patch...WTF!

They're pathetic. Honestly what's the point of continuing to follow this brand? Molson sounds like a delusional moron and the biggest media advocate shrinks like a violet when he confronts the man. Pathetic host, pathetic station and beyond pathetic team.

Honestly all the focus that is on Bergevin needs to shift to Molson, he is the head of the snake and he is fine with the absolute garbage product Bergevin has put on the ice. Good word to describe it all, Pathetic!
