No 3 point specialist? You just described CJ Miles who can shoot it with the best of them when he’s on.

Defensive rebouding might be an issue tho depending how JV is used.

Siakam and Poeltl are monsters on the offensive glass tho

Pretty sure the back of CJ Miles' jersey literally just says "3 Point Specialist".

Anybody can shoot them with the best of them when they are on. As for Siakam and Poeltl they both average under 5 total rebounds a game.

The only team that concerns me with the Raps is Cleveland because of obvious reasons. Any other team in the East they are up against I give them the edge

The Raps should make the finals

Celtics and Cavs can beat them for sure, others not so much. It will all depend on will they turn back to iso-play in tight games, if they do, I don't like their chances based on past performances.

Gotta love ESPN apparently forgetting Toronto had a team with their recent poll.

I wouldn't be so sure. I don't think either can beat Raps.

They can beat them without a doubt. Will they, is the question.

You can say that about any top teams, that's why you play the playoffs. But Raps have proven to be able to beat both easily so far this season. Not saying they will but they will certainly be the favorites.

Well if they can hang on to that top seed it more or less ensures that Boston and Cleveland will face each other first.

Raps just need to shake their playoff demons and it's not inconceivable to see them emerge from the East.

Nah, they’re not. I’m not sure results will be much different, but they’re a far better team. Better system and significantly better bench.

But the people they rely upon down the stretch haven't changed. Lowry and DeRozan have to play at an elite level for them to make it to the finals.

Couldn’t the same be said of any team and it’s top players? Aside from the Warriors who have 4 all-NBA type players, everyone else is relying on one or two guys to lead them.

I won’t count the Cavs out at all, but 1-10 (or even 11) this is the best Raptor team ever. Bench mob is lit and they’re playing with more flow. No more iso ball and unlike past years, DeMar is actually passing the ball.

They look different, they play different, they’ve added talent. Delon was hurt last year and OG is that athletic wing defender they’ve sorely been lacking.

You’re a massive cynic and I won’t even tell you you’re unjustified - this team only improves its perception by winning... but I think it’s pretty difficult to watch them this year vs previous and not notice significant differences.

I've watched sports for enough years to realize that Some teams look like championship caliber, some are good, and some get lucky. At this point in his career DeRozan has to average 30+ points in the playoffs not 22 and guarantee he will play better after a terrible game and follow it up with a worse game.

I'm skeptical that they can turn it up enough to beat a team like the Cavs.

So they’re just lucky? I don’t think they’re championship calibre but they’re a good team and arguably the best in the East.

I’m skeptical too, but this is their best opportunity to date, to beat LeBron’s Cavs.

Has to average 30+? What planet are you on? In basketball home advantage is huge and them finishing first is a huge advantage.

I was speaking in general, not specifically them. They are good. I don't think they are Cavaliers good though.

Again, the best players in the league improve their numbers in the Playoffs, Demar does not. This is why you don't understand my argument.

It's a huge advantage until you lose the first game.

Yeah, the Raps look good this year. Still you should never count out the Cavs or Boston. To me it's a 3-team race in the East this year.
