Of course they are. Just like Ticketmaster diverts tickets from their main site to their secondary market site so that they can charge a premium on top of the ridiculous fees they already charge. This is what happens when you have a monopoly. Ticket scamming is to sports what gerrymandering is to politics. In politics, gerrymandering allows politicians to choose their voters instead of the other way around. In sports, manipulating ticket sales allows the sellers to choose the buyers instead of the other way around.
