Surprised to see Neil pat him on the back afterwards since Neil is usually a *****

Yeah, that's what it was. Tootoo said in an interview after that Neil asked him for the fight to complete the hatty, and he knew it was Neil's 900th game so he gave it to him.

Tootoo also only needed an assist to complete the Gordie Howe!

That was a "gentleman's" fight. Neil punching the helmet, & Tootoo punching the shoulder, certainly not throwing bombs.

They're both buddies. They were up here two years ago along with Mark Methot, Craig Anderson etc. They ran a camp and did some charity work around town, they even had a fake fight for the kids. Lots of respect between those two guys.

that's great! As a leafs fan I have a dislike for neil but also a strong appreciation too. Respect for both guys
