Speculation: Tomas Kaberle eyeing return to the NHL

Kaberle has played over 200 more games than Sal though.

But, I am with the 98% of the fanbase that doesn't want to see Sal on the ice.

and Salvador stinks.

I do like the guy, but he's been done for two years now. Still fearful that we'll end up re signing him after this year.

I'm not sure how I'd choose between Kaberle and Salvador. Both on opposite ends of the "terrible defenseman" spectrum.

Salvador had a tough year last season but I'm confident that he'll end up bouncing back and the general opinion of him on this board will change dramatically. Guys have down years sometimes, Bryce plays a physical game that sometimes goes unnoticed to the stat guys - I'm sure he knows what he needs to do to be better this year.

As for Kaberle, more competition in training camp doesn't hurt one bit. If he can turn his career around, he'd be a pretty good addition to the defense. With so many young guys on the club, I wouldn't rule out at least one of them (Gelinas maybe?) flaming out and turning into nothing.

Salvador is 38. He's not bouncing back to anything. He's pretty much done.
