If Lucic gets anything over 5.5 - and he will, that'll be a contract that haunts a team down the road.

Similarly, Stamkos has the potential to really handcuff a team in the future - and he's nowhere near as good as some of the other huge money players in the league.

Pretty much my feeling as well, Because you know that Edmonton most likely grossly overpaid for them.

I don't think it particularly matters what team. Demers is a fine dman, but with the market for defense so tight right now he is gonna get an outrageous contract, at least I'd assume.

Hate to say it because I love him but I think Okposo.

I think whoever loses out on both Lucic and Ladd is going to look to Okposo to fill that contract slot and with two immediate comparables getting slightly overpaid Okposo as a 'backup plan' will likely command silly money and term.
