Maybe the key to more revenues is more advertising on the ice and on the jerseys...maybe not make them full as they do in Europe but I would rather see a bit of "less nicer" shirts but a healthy league with more $$ then nice shirts with a league in trouble.

Sky manged to pay the premier league $4b for the TV rights and there isnt a single ad during the game, they are all before, at half time or after the game.

Im sure TV companies can manage to pay a fraction of that to cover hockey without ads.

You know that's not true. A game can be a 12 point game with 30 seconds to go and it'll take 5 minutes.
You cant get 4 - 3 pointers in 30 seconds without the other team scoring 1. A coach isnt going to call timeouts with 30 seconds left, hoping to catch up 12 points. Even 7 points is a long shot (3 possessions in 30 seconds).

Feel free to time tonights game ending, note the score differential, and we'll see.
