After tonight's 6th game Hawks have just 22 games remaining in the regular season to complete by April 9th ...so this means they play only 22 games in 54 days for a leisurely every 2.4545 days average between games ....contrast to their brutal stretch of 14 in 24 days (1.71 days between games ( where they had nothing left for the last 2 games of that in losses to TB and tge fiasco no show in Florida) ...they were given the benefit of the tired excuse then..after the ASG not so bad but now we get the illness and injury excuses for no show losses or meh games...Very few show up games...Now the remainder of the scheduke is a restful 2.4545 days between games...If our guys coast in meh play ,we will get the usual they will flip the switch when it counts in playoffs mantra and there will be no rest premium in the remaining g 22 games starting after tonight ...OR maybe somebody will claim they have too much rest between games and that is the cause of too much coasting..If tge Hawks were a normal NHL team up near the top of their Conference then you would expect good results from a rest premium stretch of 22 games at a leisurely 2.4545 days between games...If you are such a contender who faces instead a Rest Deficit and you are a normal contending team, you expect extra losses due to a legitimate tired excuse ...the question is how much is too much rest and how much is too little rest? WE saw the deficit of rest affect the Hawks at a 1.71 days between games pace for 14 games in a stretch of 24 days...but now another contender...Washington ...faces a stretch of 28 games in 55 days (their season now ends April 10th as the NHL put 1 of their post-ponements over to that last Sunday on April 10th) ...their rest deficit is not as brutal as our 1.71 days between stretch for 14 games but is a much longer stretch of 28 in 1.964 days between games ...The question for them is how brutal will that be ..but o over Eashington n any case it means Hawks get about .49 of a day rest premium over Washington the rest of tge regular season..Per 7 day week that is an average gain of about 3.2 days a week extra rest to put it into context..Surely the Hawks ought to gain "jump" from their big rest premium. ..and surely one should expect Washington to lose "jump" due to their big rest deficit ...you might expect? But if you bet money ,it is morel likely the Hawks will SQUANDER their big rest advantage by coasting ...and nd we will need to see if the "tired excuse' applies to Washington ...or not? IT will be a big test of the value of rest between games THEORY when used as an excuse ...IF Washington does not show any affects in increased losses due to lack of "jump" AND if the Hawks squander their rest advantage by N9T showing a lit more increased jump and so better compete and higher winning %...then the Tired Excuse theory must go to the trash heap.It will be an interest ing test ..So let us measure that success over the next 22 games for the Hawks after tonight and the next 28 games remaining for the Caps to determine if indeed Rest Premiums. And Rest Deficits play any significant effect on results...it will be very interesting to track.

Now the remainder of the scheduke is a restful 2.4545 days between games...

.

You know, you can't just make up figures right? I can't even figure out how you got that number.

Here's the rest of the schedule

3 days rest - three times
2 days rest - five times
1 day rest - twelve times
0 days rest - once
