For the first 15 games of the season the Sens were a train wreck and things looked bleak but since then the team has gone 17-15-3 and most importantly you can see the young guys developing. In the past 35 games you can see they have got many key pieces in place to be a very good team.
At forward, I think it's safe to say they have 4 of their "permanent" top 6 in BT, Batherson, Norris and Jimmy. They have a potential great 3rd line in Pinto, Formenton and Brown. And all of those 7 players except CB are 23 years old and under. Paul and Watson would be very solid 4th liners on a good team.
On D they had a #1 in Chabot but this year Zub has come from nowhere to be a solid top 4 guy. Branstrom also looks like he has the makings to be a top 4 fixture as well. Mete could be the puck mover on the 3rd unit. Goaltending is more of a question mark and Murray might be the long term answer but if not either Daccord or Gustavsson could be the guy.
I won't mention the prospects that are coming along that will fill some holes but the great thing is that all those guys mentioned have proven they can play, and play well, in the league.
