Why in the world would Hockey Canada care if Gadjovich's skating would hold him back as a pro or not?

So you agree, given that Hodgson led the WJHC in scoring in his D+1, that Gadjovich making the WJHC team in his D+1 doesn't necessarily tell us much at all about how things will play out for him going forward?
I thought you were trying to argue the opposite, but it's good of you to admit when you have wrongheaded beliefs.

I mean he’s in a pretty good position where when some of the prospect he’s hyped up completely bust he won’t be held accountable as he’ll be on his 13th account by then using a different username.

Oh yeah that's for sure, 100% it's just that, well. Gillis drafted Hodgson 10th overall with the likes of a Norris Trophy winner - Karlsson still on the board and then followed that with some magnificent asset management by trading the 10th overall pick for a known party animal in the minors and the future Christian Erhoff in Gragnani. Remember what Gillis said when talking about the trade "we want Kassian to be our Milan Lucic and think that Gragnani can be equally as good as Erhoff"
A fail of Gadjovich (picked 55th overall) would not even come close to the fail of the Canucks 2008 10th overall pick
I have faith that Gadjovich will do more for us than what Stumpy Hodgson (10th overall pick) ever did
Hodgson > Kassian > Prust > MENTOR > Horvat becomes a Pro
