I'd agree, but how does he get in when Leivo and Soshnikov are ahead of him and not even playing?

Got to move one first before likely before we see him.

Yeah, thats true.

I hope we trade Komarov, Leivo, and Carrick to get a #5/6 guy + picks...

Something like:
To Team: Komarov
To Toronto: 2nd + 3rd

To Buffalo: Leivo, Carrick + 3rd (2nd?)
To Toronto: Jake McCabe

Hyman-Matthews-Nylander
JVR-Bozak-Marner
Marleau-Kadri-Brown
Johnsson-Moore-Kapanen
Martin, Soshnikov (Rotate with Johnsson/Kapanen)

Rielly-Hainsey
Gardiner-Zaitsev
McCabe-Borgman
Polak

sucks like how? why? in what context? more details please.

There are 8 teams in the Atlantic Daisy

So far this season 5 of them are running at a PPG pace or lower

So if you extrapolate that over an 82 game season 5 teams would end up with 82 points or less

For some context, last season we scraped into the playoffs with 95 points

So looking at the standing, things are well in hand for us playoff wise. Due to the Atlantic being a tirefire, we dont need to e concerned at this point with the teams in the wildcard.

basically continue to get 2 points+ in each segment, and be healthy and we should be fine

Team's doing well in terms of getting points, but is it getting a tad boring this year? I mean as long as they play 500 hockey rest of the season they'll be in the playoffs due to the crap division. I'm just waiting for the stretch run and just survive the tough schedule.

The Leafs have done well with a good start to the season so that it has given them a cushion in the playoff race. All they have to do is maintain that cushion and they'll be fine.

Starting last night the Leafs have 5 games in their next 7 days, with 4 on the road. The good news is that, asides from Pittsburgh, they are against lower teams in the standings (Oilers, Flyers, Wild, Red Wings).

I think running the table on them is a bit of a tall order (although not impossible by any means) but if they can pick up a 2-3 wins and avoid losses in regulation that would be a solid week. An opportunity to bank some additional points in the standings in short order.

agreed.
against. Oilers + Wild, just get a point as it's out of conference.
Flyers + Wings get two. (wing more than flyers as that's a division rival).

I was under an impression that Refs had been screwing us a bit, but it turns out we're not doing too bad in Penalty differential...

Our PK record has been pretty good but we have been getting hemmed in our end for most of these PPs. Last night the Oilers couldn't hit the side of a barn in terms of accuracy and McBackup had his horseshoes when there were close. I fear that if it had been the Oilers, Jets or Lightning last night we may not have fared as well.
