As promised, here is the trades thread. I'll spell out the rules here, so listen up.

You are permitted to trade both players and draft picks, but you must make sure to adhere to the following stipulations:

1) By the end of the draft, you must have a team of no less than 20 players, consisting of at least 2 goalies, 6 defencemen, and 12 forwards. If after the final round is completed you do not meet these requirements, I will fill the holes myself. This will be done by obtaining the in-game ratings for the undrafted players according to NHL 2005, and filling the hole with the lowest rated player available at that position.

2) You must make at least 17 selections during the course of the 23 round draft. This means that you can trade away up to 6 draft picks without receiving another pick in return. If you are down to 17 picks, any further trades that involve you dealing away a draft pick must be balanced out by receiving at least one draft pick in return. I realize this may seem stiff, but the whole idea of this was for everyone to do their best at drafting a team to compete in this tournament. While I will allow you to address holes via trades, the bulk of your team still should be made up of players that you selected.

3) When you reach a deal with another party or parties (if you're up to it, I can allow 3+ team trades), all GMs involved must PM me with the summary of the trade (so I can make sure that everyone understands the deal and that there are no descrepencies to breed problems.) If the trade is accurately agreed to by everyone involved and doesn't violate the stipulation on draft picks, I will put my stamp of approval on it and post it in this thread.

Immediately after this rules post, I'll put in a second post that will contain each team's roster (updated every couple of days or as trades warrant), and a complete trade summary. Below that you guys can discuss trades, put players on the block, make requests, or do whatever else you want that is trade related. From now on, anything pertaining to trades should go here and only here, not in the draft thread.

Thanks.

The London Knights are placing Jason Allison on the block! He has a 92 rating in NHL 2005, making him a steal at #32, plus I've been reliably informed that injuries will not carry over into subsequent games, so there are no worries about that either!

In return, London are looking for an excellent LW! Evening up any deal with picks is very acceptable!

Cheers,
Titanium

I need a playmaking C, I'd be fine keeping Arnason, but I'd be looking more for a guy like Marc Savard or Saku Koivu type of player. Not sure what I'd be willing to give up. Don't want a C like Allison with a very high rating, just a good first liner.

You may notice a couple of small changes in the rosters/trade log post (the second one, immediately following the rules post.) I have added the "Tradewire", which serves as an at-a-glance information center, showing who is on the block, and which teams have made specific needs known.

Oh, and jtuzzi, I'll take Daze for a 22nd round pick. :sarcasm:

Daze is on the block.

I've PM'ed you a couple of times about him! I'm willing to make a sensible offer for him if you still want to move him!

For All GM's
I'm also looking to move Allison (92) for a lower-rated C! Guys like Datsyuk (89), Briere (87), Gomez (86), Morrison (86), Ruutu (84), McCauley (83) and Comrie (83) interest me, although others will be considered! I have various players from all skating positions available, plus picks (I have an extra 19th)!

PM me or post here if you're interested!
