most ppl don't get jerseys as a commodity...there's an actual attachment to them

Those aren't mutually exclusive situations. You can be aware of the value of something and still have an attachment to it. I understand that many people get a game jersey, have it signed and then hang it on the wall and there it stays until the estate sale. It is, after all, theirs to do with what they want.

In the context that this was brought up, he thought that for the price they were going for, it should be signed, but the larger group of buyers out there for these kinds of things are actually turned off by autographs. Selling them unsigned is probably nicer for all in the long run because you can always get it signed down the road if that's your thing - in other words, more buyers are likely interested this way.

I'm very attached to most of mine, but I still wouldn't get them signed and it really doesn't have anything to do with my perception of value. I'm just not an autograph guy in any way. I do get them sometimes on pucks or pictures when being a STH gives me the opportunity, but it's more for the opportunity to meet the player than it is to have his signature. Having something signed does nothing for me at all. So not only do I not really care for autographs, but I think they're a PITA and limit my enjoyment of the jersey. Sometimes I can't avoid them, if they come signed from the team or a fan and depending on the situation, I'll either remove it or live with it.

I fully understand that not everyone thinks this way, but don't mistake this for being obsessed with any perceived value.

Honestly did not know this... thanks for pointing it out - makes sense now.

Solid choices. I need to find a money tree to get an authentic collection going.

MeiGray has posted some Set 3 jerseys for sale. Picked up Calvert's road sweater for myself, gives me something to look forward to in the offseason.

14-15 Jared Boll game worn jersey just added -

2014-2015 Jared Boll game worn jersey, Home Set 1 – jersey has a reinforced neck, custom/tightened sleeves and the 2015 All-Star game patch & “A†on the front. Worn in fight vs. Chris Thorburn.

I originally pre-ordered the Road Set 1, which saw action in multiple fights and was torn in the November fight against Zac Rinaldo – figured it would have a nice Frankenstein repair to it. When that jersey arrived @ Meigray, they called to tell me it arrived in two separate pieces. The damage to it from the Rinaldo fight was even worse than I’d seen from the fight video and obviously too extensive to repair, so they ‘retired’ it. I decided to pass on it and switched to the home instead – less wear and obviously far less damage, but at least its in one piece -

SuperGenius, What no defensemen?

Nice choices, sir.

Thanks. I got a Prout earlier this year ;)

IceJersey will charge you $225 if they have your size in stock.

Buying one from the Slovakian store would cost 64 Euro (45 euro for the jersey and 19 euro to ship), which would be about $72 but they don't look like NIke jerseys.

IceJerseys is your best bet to get something that's reasonably authentic and well done, IMO, Zach.
