Hall of Famer, Mike Gartner, who played for Bryan Murray in Washington, is on the HHOF committee. Mike Gartner will push for Bryan Murray's induction in the Builders category. Mike Gartner will also push for committee members to vote for his former teammate in Washington, Dale Hunter, who is the most qualified Washington Capitals player left for induction and also played for Bryan Murray. Dale Hunter was a scorer and an enforcer, with 1407 games played, 323 goals, 697 assists, 1020 points, and 3565 penalty minutes. Dale Hunter took the Washington Capitals to the Stanley Cup Final in 1998. Bryan Murray also coached the Ottawa Senators and took them to the Stanley Cup Final in 2007. Daniel Alfredsson is the most qualified player from that Ottawa Senators team who could be inducted the same year as Bryan Murray. Peter Bondra is a 500+ goal scorer who played for both, the Washington Capitals and the Ottawa Senators, and could be inducted the same year as Bryan Murray as well.
