Many people suggests that give Andersen a break to rest him for the playoffs. Now, I understand why that is, but all experience with Andersen shows that the more games he gets the better he is. I would only give him the back to back days off in order to let him keep his rhytm. Maybe one game in the end of the season also to give McElhinney some work if Andersen doesnt show up or goes down in the playoffs.

Hard to find words to express what Freddie means to this team.

I can think of three letters.. M-V-P

Despite a slow October he's been the most consistent player on the team all season.

Everyone else has had ups and downs throughout .. Some, like Matthews, were injury driven

I did think of that, somehow even that doesn't seem like enough. Maybe it's because the memories of how we've suffered over the years without a reliable #1 are still so fresh.

Since calling out the team after the game against Philly.
Freddy has gone
10-3-2
GAA: 2.65
SV%: .923
Seems like he has done his part just like the team.

Whatever they are, they should include the words "leafs do just as well with mcElhinney in net'.
Unfortunately, either way, we're nowhere near as well off as if we had someone like Langhamer, Berube, Ullmark or Campbell - Lou should go hard after one of them in the offseason, they're simply dominating the rest of the League's Goalies despite being on worse teams than the Leafs.

I'd remove Crawford, Fleury, Luongo and Raanta from these. They've each played anywhere from 9-34 games less than all other Goalies in the top-10, that's a looooooooooot of room for things to fluctuate.

Absolutely, I gave a shout out to McBackup in another thread a couple of hours ago. Lesser role and smaller sample size of course but he's been a fantastic backup. I can't understand why some people were insisting we find another backup at times, he's been great ever since he arrived in town.
