Hello Svetovy!

Nice to hear from you! Thank you a very lot!

Today after looking for the 1965-66 World championship qualification game stats the only game missing the scores from this period of time is Rumania-France (11-3) 10.12.1965 Bucharest.

Thank you a lot once again and all the best

there is also a player called Tikkanen in the old German league stats

That would be Toivo Robert Tikkanen (1888–1947), right? Played with the Akademischer SC 1906 Dresden club, alongside Canadian Charles Hartley, approximately around 1908–1911.

Tikkanen came from a pretty well known family, his dad (Johan Jakob) was an art historian, grand-dad (Paavo) founded the first major newspaper in the Finnish language, and his son (Henrik) was a writer/illustrator. Robert Tikkanen himself was an architect (born in Rome, Italy) who also participated as a sports shooter in two Olympic games, in 1920 and 1924, and won one silver and two bronze medals.

Speaking of Finnish hockey pioneers. Another one who played alongside Charles Hartley was Johannes "Johan" Ollus (b.1886) who played for Berliner SC between 1911 and 1914. Two other players from Finland were active in European clubs at the time, Walter Horn (b.1893) who suited up for both Berliner SC and SC Charlottenburg in Germany (1913/14), as well as Jussi "Verner" Bjork (b.1884) who played for Club des Patineurs de Paris (2nd team) in 1913/14.

Both Ollus (Helsinki) and Bjork (Kokkola) were important in the development of the sport in Finland.

Very sinister. Wonder if he was a friend of Greta's, Cairo's, Greenstreet's..... A "shooter" you say? Packin?

Hello you all!

I've made some updates to the site: some reasons for the absence of the US teams of 1928 and 1930 international tournaments, some backround information about the absence of Sudbury Tigers from WC 1938 prague. Plus something about the 1949 US international organisation and the 1966 team East Germany. All of this can be found from the tournament presentations.

Thank you for your information, senior edler and Bobby! ;)

All the best

Hello you all!

As you may have noticed, I have been running a thread called "Interested in IIHF history?" on International Tournaments for almost seven years. Since I haven't been updating the tournament history after 2010, I decided to start a thread with "The Centennial Hockey Website" here. And the address still is:

http://kotisivu.dnainternet.fi/ruskeeah http://www.centennialhockey.comlu.com/

OK, the site will contain presentations of the LIHG and Olympic tournaments between 1910-2010 and the scoring stats as well as I know them.

Nice to be here, after being on International Tournaments since the 22nd of April 2006 and receiving 37,073 views there!

All the best
Jukka
