May I start the first thread topic of this new forum with an hommage to all those small rinks across the country and around the world that seat few but are appreciated by the many few who cheer their friends and family on, in person or in spirit.

My favorite memories of hockey are at 11 p.m. on a Friday in 1,200 standing only packed arenas, cheering on the locals against the rival town down the road.

The NHL can't compare with that. It's really a special experience.

Yes a packed small arena is quite something. We opened a new arena in PortHawkesbury last week. Sellout. Very nice.
