C'mon dude - let it rest and move on... :)

Perfectly scripted for Cory tonight. Kudos on coming back with a big win and some big saves.

Kudos to Hynesie too... pretty ballsy playoff coaching move.

Gotta go back to Cory for game 4, yes? Or do you go Lemaire-style and put Terreri back on the bench :sarcasm:

Only way Cory doesn’t play Wednesday is if he isn’t healthy. This is an obvious decision.

YUUUUGE Devs win, then out the door to play in an 11:30 beer league game we won 8-2 and I had 3pts. SOLID night. Taylor Hall better win the freaking Hart, he is UNREAL. Was there any post game talk about what Schneider injured and if he'll be able to go on Weds?

Hackensack?

Hynes said that Schneider just had cramps, that's why he stayed in the game and he should be fine for Wednesday.

It is the one big issue with this board.

We take player criticism to another, unnecessary level with the vitriol sometimes.

It is one thing to look at a space junk like DSP or Ryder who were clearing dogging it. These guys aren’t though.

Why Zajac never gets the respect he deserves around here as opposed to the just toxic levels of bilge people have piled on him over the years.

Sal’s last year as well. It wasn’t his fault he got old. Blame Lou for signing him one too many years. Greene too. It is clear his body is starting to give on him, but he is absolutely giving his heart in some of the toughest minutes anyone on this team plays. Just clear he needs help and that is on Shero to go find, not on Greene

Good post.

Honestly, there isn't a frigging player on this team that i'm not giving an A+ to for all of 2018. I think I posted before that something like 26 of them met or exceeded expectations.

That's absurd to see in a sports team.

I'm disappointed in Stafford, but he had a couple nice backhands and shootout goals.
I'm disappointed that Mojo can't stay healthy.
I'm way disappointed that Grabner hasn't been an X factor and hasn't added another weapon.

But for Christ's sake - we were all ready to string Lovejoy up before the season began, and he gave us what? 50-some decent games for a bottom pairing guy playing in the role he was brought in for?

Do I want an upgrade? of course - but I don't hate the guy.

Love this team. From top to bottom. Love this team. Even Hayes... ok, well not Hayes.

Hynes said he is fine. Cory said the same.

not gonna lie.... think i shit myself on that play tho

we got this, no matter who is in net. kink didnt get much help the first two games but cory didnt get much at times this year either. ebb and flow. no matter what happens this season is a team effort.

bingo. I think both guys had confidence downturns, but Cory is the better goalie if his head is on right and the team in front of him doesn't make winning impossible.

I’m absolutely exhausted. Honestly, playoff hockey.... I’ve missed this so much. There is just nothing like it. Everyone needs to experience a crowd like the one we had tonight. Just ridiculous. That third goal, it just came out of nowhere seemingly, and the pop in the arena....Holy shit! I mean that’s what it’s all about right there.

Tampa is stacked, no question about it , but they’re vulnerable. The Devils may ultimately not be able to see it through and beat Tampa, but if not them, some team will. I welcome some edge in these games. You absolutely need bad blood to bring out the best in teams but man did the lightning come off like a bunch of dirty pricks tonight. NJ got to them. If they can manage to win game 4, they may have a real shot here.

Very happy for Cory as well. $$$$$ performance tonight.

Game 4 is absolutely KEY.

They manage to pull it off, it becomes a best 2 out of 3(first team to 2 more wins...advances).

I'm glad it sounds like Cory is okay. He's played well so far and it would have been really unfortunate for him to reinjure his groin (which is what I thought he did) now.

Our special teams still need to be better if we want to win this series, and it would be nice if somebody like Zacha, MoJo, Wood, etc. would get going. Right now it's pretty much Hall and the Zajac line keeping us in this thing.

It's never over until someone wins 4. They only held serve with us playing like complete jackasses for 4+ periods. If Vats gets his legs back, if Cory continues to get some decent support... if maybe someone else catches just a little bit of fire (Palms? Boyle? Wood?) .

Tampa may be stacked - but we have guys who can score on any night at any time as well... I just want one pop-fly to Wood please.

Hayes is obviously a good locker room guy, and he at least tried. He sucks, but I’ll give him that.

Lovejoy usually has good locker room quotes and breakdowns of what went wrong so he seems like a good leader too, they just trot him out there too much. He was most effective as the 7th guy rotating in on occasion.

They need to make sure there is a Game 6 for me to go to! I need another Zajac running man moment live.

I still remember that Zajac Game 6 OT winner more then Rico’s goal in game 7 in that Florida series.

Honestly the crowd might have sounded more amped then some of the 2012 crowds?

Thing with Tampa is that they can make it look easy. They’re that good. And a big part of why the Devils have looked silly at times is because Tampa is forcing them to make mistakes. I just can’t say it’s that the Devils are playing poorly at points in these games. That said, a clear trend is that Tampa starts strong and the Devils wind up taking over the games as they go on. It’s happened in all 3 games so far. Difference tonight is that NJ wasn’t out of reach when the upturn started. But they can play with them. No doubt about it.

Getting mojo back is huge. I mean he just has such poise with the puck and they were really lacking that the first two games. His skill was sorely missed.

Had to go into major lockdown airplane mode tonight. I’m on Pacific Time and don’t get off work until 6:30 PM. Major nerves starting this one but it was worth every minute of the wait. So pumped we pulled this off. If we can just keep their power play in check I like our chances. Let’s do this again Wednesday!
