Nobody is saying trade Talbot.

I personally don't think Talbot is the answer long-term. Just too mentally fragile. He's had one great year out of three, and if he stumbles out of the gate, an immediate change needs to be made.

Even when Talbot is good, he allows early goals quite often.

He can be the guy but I think we need a goalie coach that won't tell our guy to go down quick on everything. Something that happens everytime here with goalies.

Fair enough. Talbot is a UFA after next season. If the Oilers are willing to spend the money now to bring a guy in who can really challenge Talbot then let next season decide who is the answer long-term.
