Wow they even have links to the prospects twitter accounts lol! I would never have the time for something like that.

Anyways, when I was looking Glass up to see if he had played this year I saw a very, very interesting name on Portland's roster.

Kieffer Bellows. Kid is a beast. A pure goal scorer who will throw the body a ton as well. I think Glass is going to get the dude 50 goals this year. It's going to be hard to improve the point totals vs. last year for Glass, but I bet he scores over an assist per game on the year. He will definitely break the century mark.

Bellows is the prospect version of James Neal. Not a great skater, but just a big, strong, feisty goal scorer. If those two have chemistry and Neal is kept past this year, I think Glass would be the perfect center for Neal.

I'm going to have to stream some Portland games this year.

1st round pick Cody Glass has a goal and 2 assists in his one game back in Portland(WHL)
1st round pick Nick Suzuki has a goal and an assist in two games for Owen Sound(OHL)
1st round pick Erik Brannstrom has played 5 games in the SHL with no points, but has three points in 4 games for Sweden's under 20 team.
2nd rounder Nick Hague has an assist and nine shots on net in three games for Mississauga(OHL), but has 6 PIM and is a -3 in three games.
Dylan Ferguson, whom we acquired from Dallas, has had a less than stellar start with Kamloops(WHL) posting a 6.38 GAA and .823%
Our 7th round pick Ben Jones has 1G-2A-3P in only 2 games for Niagra(OHL)

I'm putting this year to save room in the 1st post.

Thanks to getting this thread started! It will be a good way to follow Vegas picks as they make their way through to the biglies.

Just a quick question: Did you want to include AHL prospects here or keep that to a separate thread?

I don't see why not but we should definitely have a Chicago Wolves thread as well.

Your Friday night starters

do you know the full lines and d pairings? I'm only half-listening on Stars radio

edit: 3-1 Stars now.

Kolesar fights Laberge, if that sort of thing matters to anyone anymore.

Tuch makes it 3-2!!

Theodore just made it 6-5

So if Ship is sent down, why would he not even play? I just don’t get it. He needs all the NA experience he can get.

I saw him on the game sheet last night but he's no longer on the box score. Strange. I guess he really didn't play.

Mum's the word, we'll see if he dresses for the Wolves tonight.

They've also got to get Lindberg pt2 in the lineup.

Glass just had two points in his 4th game of the year to make it 7 in 4.

http://whl.ca/video/highlights-winterhawks-6-at-chiefs-1

Threads the needle on the half wall on the pp at 1:42, and scores the 6th goal on a breakaway at the end of the video.

If he kept this pace up (small sample size) he would be looking at around 120 points on the year.

Barring health issues, I think he has a strong chance to achieve that. That would’ve been third in the league last year, only behind Brooks and Steele... who he is both bigger than, and better defensively.

He is a legit blue chip prospect who I am starting to think his floor is a 2C.

AHL has (effectively) no roster limit. But they do limit # of vets (5) that can play in any game.

(ECHL has cap $$ limit on their roster. But there are 7-day IR and "reserve" lists that don't seem to count. Players on contracts from other leagues are calculated at a fixed "max" rate, regardless of their actual NHL/AHL salary, if higher.)

I was wondering about that. Although they do have a roster limit for the playoffs so hopefully they'll make room for T.Lindberg and anyone else they might acquire by the deadline (I imagine they'd want Tuch and Theodore in the AHL playoffs as well even after they get called up).
