E. Räsänen. Love his size, but I thought I remembered him being slow and sluggish. But TBH, I haven't watched him play since the U18 final in April earlier this year.

Really have no clue. I do hope to see him in the opener against Canada, as we will need "kovuutta"

Take off the homer glasses. I like Rasanen but he's not beating out any of the top 5. If he has a great camp he may crack the line up on the bottom pair but he doesn't have the quality or skating the others possess.

You don't know **** quality?,skating? I guess we'll see then who's what and who isn't
when the games begin.

Talking about quality and skating,Robin Salo shouldn't been even asked to the camp
he isn't ****,playing in his 4th season already in the league and have made little to none
progress, has had a horrible season so far.

Dude, you gonna be so surprised how much progress he has made,he is on route to become one hell of a d-man.

His skating is pretty good from what I've seen. He's having a good year but Finland obviously has a stacked defense that will be tough for him to crack. He has a lot of size and meanness to his game so I hope he makes it

From the games I've seen he doesn't have the ability to takeover games from the backend. He's solid in all aspects and has good smarts but saying he's the 2nd best defender on the team is a little much. I guess we'll see when the tournament starts but I don't have my hopes up he gets anything more than bottom pairing minutes.

Like Finland's team a lot. The D is tops in the tourney, imo. Is UPL #1? A lot would ride on him if he is.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I look at other team rosters and this does not pale in my view.

The roster is awesome, and there's players with NA experience, but too often our coaches have been lost in NA ice.
We need to play fast and move the puck well, not have those half an hour 5 man starts from the own zone.

Time to change that! It's only a matter of time until wet get a lucky bounce on NA ice!

Besides, U18 2016 under Ahokas won gold on NA ice, and we got lots of players from that squad.

Can anyone who follows Finland's U20 team provide a summary on what type of player Kupari is? What type of season has he had so far?

thanks

Fast and skilled, can play both C/W. Limited minutes in the stacked Kärpät team, but played okay nonetheless. Producing fine in the 2nd tier after being demoted to get more minutes.
