What a team, everyone in this team was so commited to win. Clearly best team in the tournament. Don't really need to describe it anymore, now let just celebrate.

I still can't believe this team won gold. The most unlikely team to win gold won it. And they beat the USA, I can't remember any other Finnish team winning a tournament when they have played against USA/Canada in the final. Awesome team, very talented and one of the best coached Finnish teams I've seen. Congrats!

This is indeed a historic date. Before today, Finland had won seven* IIHF tournament finals across all age classes (U18, U20, Men). And before today, all wins had been against two countries - Sweden and Russia. So USA is only the third country whose gold medal game scalp Finland has.

*Finland actually had nine titles (with 2018 U18 being the 10th), but two of those came from tournaments where the modern playoff format was not used.
