The ring of stars on blue isn't the first thing that comes to mind to unite under, but there's twist to it: With the omissions of the likes of Kölzig and Ozolinsh, the team consists of players from Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, whose populations sum up to exactly 30 million. See what matchup I'm getting at? Who would go and what would happen in the game?

Choosing the lineup is not without difficult decisions to be made. Here's one possibility:

Kiprusoff
Vokoun

Lidström - Chara
Timonen - Hamrlik
Norström - Öhlund

Näslund - Forsberg - Hejduk
Palffy - Sundin - Jagr
Lehtinen - Koivu - Hossa
Elias - Demitra - Alfredsson

And since we're at HF, what players would you see making the scales tip in 2010?

An interesting proposition- wicked offense and an amazing first defence pairing, but I think the team could be seriously lacking in chemistry. Would the players play with their hearts (like Canadians do) to win one for the mighty Euro? :D

I'd rather see a 7 game series between Sweden & Finland for the Scandanavian championship. That would be intense! :jump:
