I know Kempe's SHL numbers would seem to indicate he'd be more in line to be as productive as a Trevor Lewis, but it is difficult to judge a teenagers numbers at a pro level, especially when they have a reputation of giving more minutes to the more experienced, veteran players.

When playing against his own age group however, Kempe has averaged over a point per game. Hopefully the Kings bring him over to the AHL next season where he can be one of the top six forwards and work on his skills in NHL sized rinks.

True. People can say that Kempe did not score as much as hoped this season,
but he did increase his points total by about 50%...just didn't score more goals.
Some say he was the best player for Sweden in the WJC.

Something noteworthy in Zykov's game, since coming back from injury and playing with Gatineau: he scored 15 goals in 26 games, which was back to his 40 goal season avg level, 2 seasons ago. So there is hope Zykov will emerge as a more dynamic offensive player. With only 23 goals last year, it is good to see him not only come back strong from his injury, but putting the puck in the net.

With the Kings development program and the work Glen Murray and Nelson Emerson do with the youth, guys like Mersch, Dowd , Brodzinski, etc, may even emerge to
become better than any expectations most had. Who knows?

But this is about Tanner Pearson - great contract! Was thinking he might get 2.0. If he was playing and approaching 20 goals
right now, he might have.
