First 16 games are a potential disaster. If we come out with 16 pts it will be a miracle imo. I wouldn't be surprised with 10. Not a great way to start a season.

When you're team is near last place, your schedule is always filled with teams better than you.

That should be the CBJ motto for the year.

I like to think of it this way - if we come out of October with a good record, we'll be seen as damn near invincible. ;)

It they start off 1-5, it'll be over before it started. Just like last year.

Tough scedule is right

If I counted correctly 14 of the first 17 games are against teams that made the playoffs the year. The other 3 games are Boston twice and Montreal. Boston lost a playoff spot on a tie breaker and Motnreal was in first place until Price got hurt.

No doubt it is a tough start.

If they come out of that stretch at least close to .500, then take care of business the rest of the way, who knows?

Pretty much all we ever have is the old ifs and buts.

Wouldn't it be fun to be in a position like the Pens.

"Will we or will we not win the Cup this season?"

One can dream.

I think we are. A definite NO. :sarcasm::laugh:

With the high degree of parity in the NHL, I'm not a fan of looking at any stretch of games as hard or easy. We over analyze things now a days. This isn't the NBA, where the talent spread from first to last is so huge.

Not to mention the way the Jackets sometimes manage to go out and beat opponents considered superior to them, and turn right around and get humiliated by teams considered to be inferior to them.

Of course when you finish 27th in the league, there aren't a lot of teams considered inferior to you. There is that.
