It would run but, bad enough to detract from the game. I wouldn't get it. The 840m is somewhere around 130% slower than the minimum required card.

Like I said last thread, Witcher 2 would run and it's a great game as well.

Alright thanks Snipe!

I also picked up Civ Beyond Earth and am in love with the new mechanics. The quests, new personality mechanic, water city, unit upgrade, etc is amazing. Glad I picked up the whole package.

Has anyone played Offworld Trading Company? I like the look of the game, but not sure if its deep enough to keep my attention for more than a few hours.

I've played a bit.

It's quite fun. Basically an RTS version of Civ (with just economy), but I don't think it has that staying power. It's more of a pick up and play a match every now and again type IMO.

If anyone is looking for a metroidvania, Valdis Story: Abyssal City is great and somehow seems to still go unnoticed. It's really cheap right now too: http://store.steampowered.com/app/252030/

The game is absurdly hard and controls rather poorly. Also you have to be really into fighting games cause that control scheme is unforgiving as hell.

Not a fan of it at all, a real shame because it looks awesome.

I felt the same way. I got a couple bosses in (ice boss or whatever) and was kind of enjoying myself but then the game was trying to get me to do skill cancels (no idea what this is or care) and invincibility frames. It got too gamey and less fun.

Yeah, you can tell the people who made the game had a lot of good ideas and passion but completely whiffed on making the game accessible to people who didn't share their taste

Thanks for the Fighting Fantasy suggestion in the other thread. Never seen it before but the old style looks great.

Now's the time when I put everything in my cart and pick myself up a gift card. Trying to whittle it down to $40 and tell myself I'm not gonna play most of these anyway.

Somebody asked about Life is Strange in the last thread.

I highly recommend it! My top-3 game of last year!

Anyone wanna trade me a "go for the gold" and a "everything is fine" card?

I have extras of most of the other ones.

I got Dead by Daylight after watching streamers play it and refunded it after about an hour played. There's just really not much to the game and it's just not fun. I can see the appeal with friends, but then again, every mulitplayer game gets better with friends so it doesn't seem like a valid argument.
