Who do you think are or could be the steals of the draft in the late rounds...
For the yotes, Vladimir Ruzica could be quite the steal.
Agreed, for the Oil- 5th round pick Milan Kytnar
I'll let be obvious Cherepanov and Esposito aside and also mention Torquato.
Radim Ostrcil ranked 9th Euro, 6 round #169?
Radim Ostrcil is ranked 18th in final ranking (9th in mid-term)...
Nichlas Torp is ranked 7th Euro, 6th round, #163.
Mark Katic by the isles, # 62 (3rd round).
This thread is one I always look forward to every year. Could I ask that you knowledgeable people who are contributing info, please mention when these steals were drafted? It's kinda hard to tell why they're steals without knowing where they were picked. Thanks!
Didn't Josh Kidd go in the last round? I think that may turn out to be one of the smarter picks.
The Kings picked Kidd in the last round. He is a horse, I hope for good things from him!
ill let you know in about five years who the steals were
but seriously i for the life of me can't understand why torquato was taken so late...guy has talent
Matt Frattin, Maple Leafs <-- steal of the draft.
Mark Katic I thought would go a lot higher. 2nd round at least.
I thought that Kent Patterson should've went much higher. Some teams really missed the boat on him, IMO.
I think the Rangers got a late round steal in Max Campbell. I thought he'd be gone by the 3rd.
Oscar Moller is going to make tons of teams pay. IMO he is a guy with potential, but yet safe. He should end up as a #2 centerman, and if his offensive billing doesn't live up he can still be a fine 3rd line center. Absolute steal IMO.
I think LA got two in the 7th with Kidd and Fillier.
Andersson to Detroit in the 3rd was huge IMO; I thought he'd go top-40.
Definitely. I still can't believe he lasted until late in the 6th round. Detroit always seems to get steals late in the draft.
Alexei Cherepanov, here's a guy that has top 5 talent but slipped to #17.
How about reading the thread before you post?
Right I didn't see the Mid-Term heading I guess. Could Radim have been picked earlier?
Torp for montreal
i read where he was a top player in most publications but i have never seen him
Frattin, Torquato, Gregoire, Andersson
Rated #78 by ISS (171st pick to Pittsburgh)
Thats my homer pick
But seriously Moller and Mayorov
