I think there is areal chance he makes the stars . The lower lines were really a problem. I know everyone like d the fins but they went long periods without scoring at all. The Ott-Svoboda-Perrot/Stevenson down right sucked and supposibly Lundqvist while a marginal skater has talent as a playmaker and is good defensively.

AND he isnt a midget. Id say he and hagos have a good chance of making the team (not both but one of the two)

Hard worker that will fit right in with the finns in Dallas. I don't expect him to be a huge offensive contributor but a guy that tries to be useful to his team each shift.

Might give us some size kapanen cannot. But I agree either he or Hagos. Lundqvist does seem less a defensive specialist. I also think Holtet could challenge for a4th line RW spot. I thought generally the 4th line RW spot was awful between Svoboda/Perrot and Stevenson and Holtet has good speed and has gotten much better defensively

I love the way he plays.
Like in the quarter final vs. USA. He was bouncing around as usual, late in the third, like 25 seconds left, Komisarek leveled him. Joel jumps right up.
15 seconds later, Komisarek has the puck, guess who comes to run him over with a perfectly clean hit? J to the OEL! :D

Good signing. By the sounds of it, you Stars are going to have some unproven, but potentially very talented lower lines next season. Looking forward to see how your Swedes do next year.

Good luck in Dallas Joel!

If you're looking for a scorer you must keep looking, but Dallas has gotten them self a great team guy who sacrifices his body in every situation.

Does anyone in Sweden know what the deal is with Fransson. He was highly touted at one point here and now for the second year in a row, it appears he is not coming over?

Also I assume Lundqvist is amore versatile and superior player to Hagos. Is that correct.

hmm....why is it a 3-year-contract ??

nhl.com says:
How long will a player be in the Entry Level system?

Players who sign their first contract at age 18-21 are required to sign three-year Entry Level contracts; players age 22-23 will be required to sign two-year deals; and players age 24 will be required to sign a one-year Entry Level contract.

He has signed with Frölunda. I can't say that I have been following him but of course I know about him. Some say that he has stopped in his devolopment and that he needs a change of senario. I hope that's right and that he can continue too develop and get a chance in the NHL.

Joels hockeysense and hands are mediocre IMO, but he is a great teamplayer and works hard both ways. I´d say that Hagos is the better player. Joel won´t make a lot of points thats for sure, but he will hit everything that moves.
