We have recalled Andreas Johnsson.
Calle Rosen is also up on emergency recall.
Looks like Travis Dermott is sick or injured.
Which is why Calle Rosen is up
Hopefully whatever Zaitsev has isn't making the rounds.
Calle Rosen can play Right or Left D and as a call-up, makes sense.
Andreas Johnsson would look good...
That 4th line looks good too, pretty solid lineup.
Matthews isn't practicing ?
Our LW isn't nearly as good without JVR, which makes me think he gets resigned.
He is in his red jersey again.
I think you might be pleasantly surprised with what Johnsson brings to the table.
I'm excited to watch him, but even with him in and JVR out, my point still stands, especially with an aging Marleau in a couple of years.
How much are they going to pay him and for how long? Are they going to give term with a 6+ mil cap hit for a guy that can't even be trusted that much 5-on-5?
Enter Carl Grundstrom
I dunno, I probably would have traded him, but they didn't and it doesn't make sense to let him walk. Have to pay him.
Also a possibility.
Travis is sick? nooo
Any word on Dermott? Hope its just the flu and nothing too serious.
What's with the Leaf's plague affecting defense men? Can we put Reilly and Gardiner in one of those bubbles?
i really hope a flu doesn't make its rounds. that would really suck. Hope Dermott is okay
Agreed, but if it's gotta happen, this is a better time than a month from now.
As much as I hate losing players to injury, it's always nice when you get that "extra help" in the Playoffs from a returning player - Kinda like getting a free Deadline acquisition.
Do you think they called up Rosen since he also shoots left handed like Dermott, instead of someone like Justin Holl because he shoots right handed.
Better now than in a few weeks is the best way to look at it I guess
Yeah it'll probably be the same pairs as last time only Rosen in for Dermott.
What's weird to me is that they're going with Rosen over Borgman
not really. they know borgman.
time to give Rosen a chance and see what he can do.
Borgman is much better. I don't see the need for a trial period when we're competing for home ice. I don't think Rosen is NHL caliber yet
well i guess they wanna make sure. i mean. how do we know what caliber he is until he gets some games under his belt, eh?
