Stalberg's going to get paid 4M per year because teams get desperate in the off-season and overpay. It has less to do with his speed, and more to do with the market. He's a big, perceived 20-goal scoring winger. Those players get overpaid on the open market.

So is Bickell but I don't see him having the same appeal.

That would be my guess as well. He doesn't get much prime ice time and has had very few chances with high end playmakers. If Leino and Hudler could command those contracts, I would imagine Stalberg will be worth quite a bit on the market. Bickell might only lag that contract a little bit.
