They lost a skills competition, not a game. I'm so glad there are none of these ridiculous charades in the playoffs.
I absolutely agree with you 100% if there were 20 minute overtime I will guarantee you the hounds would’ve won that game they had all the momentum down 5-2 came back to tie it that right there shows you what kind of Team They are .Lucky win for them and for the Windsor game if the new They were going to play like that they should have not got off the bus

Interestingly Brett Mackenzie , who scored twice, remarked he was gassed after the game, having played 3 games in 3 1/2 days, two gone to extra time against the central and west champs respectively.

I'm perfectly fine with ties in a hockey game.

Someone decided there must be a winner every game. Thus overtime and the shootout. Really kills the excitement and momentum of a good game.

Think about this :
goalie Matt Villalta and winger Ryan Roth were free agents.
Defenceman Mac Hollowell was a 12th-round draft choice while winger Keeghan Howdeshell was plucked in the 10th round.
How about Jack Kopacka drafted in the eighth round?
And Morgan Frost, Connor Timmins and Hayden Verbeek were all plucked in the fourth round of the OHL draft.now thats how you draft
Just thought I would try to give a report card on our players for this season
Forwards
Roth B Frost A+ Katchouk A
Raddysh A Hayton B+ kopacka B+
Gettinger B+ Verbeek A Howdeshell B
McKay C+ Carroll C+ Jacklin C Trott C

Timmins A Sandin A+
Carroll B+ Hollowell A
Sambrook B+ DeMeo B
LeGuerrier B Wale C+

I honestly don’t agree with grading the team. They are given different roles, and are all contributing in their own way.

In terms of expected performance from a 4th round rookie, I would give Joe Carroll an A. I'm very impressed with his play.

I'd have to agree, Carroll has shown some impressive upside in several games; he'll be a really good player over the next few years, potential 30+ goal scorer I think...same can be said for Jacklin and McKay IMO...

The Hounds played like a top rated team should be playing like at this time of the year in last nights game. They need to send a message to the league that they are ready to go so bring it on. They have the talent but sometimes there desire stays in the dressing room.
The rant on the brutal officiating continues. Those referees should be ashamed for calling such a one sided game. I know I can't be wrong when 4K people are screaming mad.

I like it.....Hounds fans follow the motto of late NFL coach who used to tell his players “when you lose say nothing.....when you win say less!” :D
Good one count35

Wish the team would confirm if game 2 will be an afternoon or evening game. I was hoping for a Thursday-Saturday game schedule.

Why are the greyhounds only honouring Katchouk, Gettinger and Kopacka, what about the other 19 year olds, Hollowell, Raddysh, Timmons, Sambrook and Howdeshell ???

I think that's another reason why the time is not announced for Sunday's Game 2. First reason is who the opponent will be. But always a chance that Sportsnet may be in the Soo to air the game too.

Can't always blame the refs when things don't go your way....even though there were a ton of missed calls. Two 5 on 3's in the same game! As for Sportsnet showing next Sunday's game....why bother now? As someone mentioned before they could have shown an away but didn't, so pardon the expression but s#$*w them! LOL

Tough loss in front of a great crowd last night. I’m happy to see Bannister isn’t afraid to juggle the lines to wake up the players. That will be key to a long playoff run.

Fowler with 19 points in 27 games with Erie.

6 points in his last 3 games and 14 points in his last 13 games.
Guy has been impressive lately. Very noticeable on the ice

Pulling for your team in the playoffs so it can be a trade that hopefully works out for both teams. Good luck!

Really pulling for Frost to wrest the modern OHL single-season +/- record from Future NHL All-Star Danny Syvret--against the Knights, no less! Good luck tomorrow, guys!
