Sonny still has a lot to learn. But it's hard to do so when you're looking over your shoulder every time on the ice, wondering if the first mistake will the last one that night, courtesy of a reserved seat on the bench. I still remain positive about Sonny, while acknowledging he is no sure thing.

Sonny Milano’s first game after being sent down with Cleveland: 0 goals. 0 assists. -6.

Minus freaking 6.

It’s clear that the Jackets don’t believe in the kid/have plans for him in the future to be used the way he feels he should be used. So what should the organization do with Sonny, in your opinion?

Keep playing him. It's one game. Did you know about William Karlsson's zero points in 15 games for Springfield when he was Sonny's age?

Who the hell cares about +/-, and he was also fresh off a flight from California. It's no big deal.

I'll check back on him in a few weeks

So having a -6 rating in a single (AHL) game doesn’t concern you at all. Not even the slightest bit. Interesting.

Two of the minuses were for ENGs and another a meaningless goal with a minute left.

How's that for putting lipstick on a pig?

That said, I'm not sold on him and, obviously, neither is the coaching staff and management. It's probably time to part ways with him. GMs hate it when their first round picks are washouts so there's probably reluctance to get rid of him.
