If Holland isn't going to do anything drastic like fire Tippett or make a trade, I suppose we have to make do with what we have.

Bench Kassian. Or put him on waivers for the intent to send him down to the AHL. Enough already, man.
Demote Yamamoto to the 3rd line. No shots on net in five games.
Hyman is injured. Not sure for how long. Holloway is still hurt.

Call up Lavoie, Tullio or Petrov. Or any combination thereof. let's see what these youngsters can do for a few games. They'll be hungry and we'll get to see a preview of what is coming up from the farm system.

Raphael Lavoie (C,RW) A big kid (6'4" 198) who is a shooter and a scorer, consistency is his problem but he can take over games.
Matvei Petrov (C, RW) Another big kid (6'2", 181) who needs some work on his speed and defensive side of the game, but who is a pure goal scorer. 44 points in 26 games in the OHL
Tyler Tullio (C,RW) Undersized but a very complete player. Can do it all at the OHL level.

Draisaitl - McDavid - Lavoie
Foegele - RNH - Puljujarvi
Petrov - McLeod - Yamamoto
Shore - Tullio - Scevior

Just as an idea of what Tippett could do. Of course he relies too heavily on his veteran players so these guys, even if called up, may not get a sniff of minutes.

You can’t just bring up kids from juniors and Lavoie can’t do anything at the AHL level, how will he help here?

This team will go nowhere until they even out the lines and learn how to play defence. Oh and get a frickin goalie..

Well, I would say move them up and see what's what. Move other guys down. Kassian and Yamamoto and bluntly every not named Draisaitl and McDavid have to be made to understand they don't own a spot in the NHL. They have to play to keep it.

You can't call up junior players unless it's an emergency situation. They're locked into their junior clubs until their season is over.

As Marty has said, you can’t bring up Junior players.

You literally can’t do what you want to do which is to destroy young talent before they are ready which was the Oiler way for the entire DoD.

If junior player are needed to “fix” our problems then we haven’t learned after 10 years of trying do exactly that and failing miserably.

There is a possible solution that uses those player, but it’s as trade bait to get legitimate NHL players.

This is something Holland doesn't have.
