I haven't seen these new jerseys/pants, yet I hate them already. Why can't they let things be and maybe develop "normally", instead of having these insane ideas about "a new NHL" and crap like that, where the jerseys is probably just part of the new idea. I can almost see in the future it'll be like that crappy movie Slap Shot 2, with "family friendly shows" like the Harlem Globetrotters. That is, if Bettman and Rbk/Nike keep ruining the sport with these "new ideas"...

Im calling out the fans on the HFboards and all over the world if your a true hockey fan then dont buy anything that RBK sells so that they will be ousted and gone from the nhl and dont buy the new jerseys they are making and they wont have a choice but to go back to there old styles......what was wrong with CCM????

What if it's a lighter, more flexible, and keeps the goalie cooler and less fatigued through the course of the game? Would that help a goalies performance?Metallian said:
As someone who's seen the designs for all 30 teams, I can say there will be a lot of people who like them, but probably even more that hate them. Some traditionalists will be shocked with what they see if the designs i've seen come to fruition.

That's just one player's opinion. Go back and find articles from Team Canada's summer Olympic training camp... Pronger wouldn't touch his jersey and it took 4 guys to pull Bertuzzi's over his shoulders...and that was about the Nike Swift jersey, not the RBK jersey that is being put together.

You can buy CCM all you want, you'd still be supporting RBK. RBK Hockey is here to stay, like it or not. They already have sponsorship deals with the NHL, as well as junior and college leagues, and they're not going away.

Why does everybody seem to think this is Gary Bettman's idea? This was RBK's idea, and Bauer/Nike got to it first with the IIHF jerseys. The NHL (again... NHL, meaning the board of governors) is in it for the money, and they have no reason to not be.
Gary Bettman didn't design these jerseys, and he didn't make RBK do it, so why blame him? It's just an easy cop-out for ignorant fans.
