So we had someone leave our department recently but we haven’t replaced him yet. I interviewed this person who I thought was a decent candidate to replace him.
Anyways, I asked him if he could send me some professional references so I could ask them about his work there and if they’d be available for video chat.
You’ll never believe what happened next. I get on the video chat for the chat with his first professional reference and this is what I see...
Needless to say I exited out and we won’t be hiring this candidate.
