Could this mean

A) he really wants to be traded to the Florida Panthers?

B) He's getting ready to ink a long term deal with the Jets to secure his financial future?

C) both?

D) neither?

Can we start the hockey's season already;)

NHL defenseman Jacob Trouba, of the Winnipeg Jets, bought a unit at the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Auberge Beach Residences & Spa, developed by The Related Group, Fortune International Group and the Fairwinds Group.

Michigan-born Trouba, 23, bought a one-bedroom, two-bathroom unit for $1.4 million.

The 1,355-square-foot home features a chef’s kitchen and views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Doesn't he live in Florida in the summer? no surprise that he'd buy a place there since he spends all his offsrasons there.

Hope the decor of the chef's kitchen matches the pizza boxes.

Now THAT would be something.

Wasn't Ekblad and Scheif on the Colts at the same time?

Yup. I definitely wouldn't make that trade though as Exblad already has concusion issues with a crazy big contract. His performance last year was also less than stellar.

Just checking out some simplistic stats, they're very similar. I'd do it straight up or even a small add (Petan, pun intended). Ekblad is signed long term (to something I'd offer Trouba) which removes that headache. It'd be cool to see Scheifele and Ekblad reconnect

I thought of a Trouba for Ekblad trade too when HF rumours started of Florida being interested in Trouba (and the fact he lives there in the off season). Ekblad is better but has concussion problems. His 7.5 million per year for the next 8 years is a massive risk.
