long term who do you think has the greater offensive upside? Chris Stewart or James Sheppard?
I get it, my turn:
Now it's me...
I'm glad it's my turn, because I'd hate to have to say Stewart. It wouldn't be true.
Purely offensive upside though, you can make an argument either way. Overall, as a player, I take Sheppard easily.
notice how it's only been Avs fans who have chosen Stewart in this thread?
4 people have chosen Stewart...all Avs fans.
I just find the homerism funny here at HF.
Considering 99% of you haven't seen either enough to make a valid opinion this thread is useless.
Arent you making an assumption that they're making an assumption.. ?
Yeah, guys who prefer Kostitsyn over Kopitar or Brule are talking us about homerism, sure
Coming from a Habs fan (who regularly prefer Latendresse over anybody is funny too) .
Looks like somebody missed out on the joke.
When did I ever say I prefer Kostitsyn over any of those guys?
Kopitar will be one of the best players in the league very soon and while Brule is injury prone I think he is a better all around player than Kostitsyn. There is no doubt though (that if both Kostitsyn and Brule) both hit their full potential Kostitsyn will be the better OFFENSIVE player of them both.
I like Sheppard's upside and current offensive potential more than Stewart's whereas I love Stewart's work ethic and I think he's almost guaranteed to make the NHL in some form or fashion.
