No a team that;s gonna get dusted in the 1st rd because of terrible D and total softness has no need for a #1 hard hitting D-man that can also man the point on the PP. good luck with those 1st rd dustings.
Correct. We still need to be patient. Not over react.

It's not about who he is today. It's about who he will be in 2 or 3 years and his contract. It's also about who we are today. We aren't a Shea Weber away from the Cup. That much has been so clear so far this year.

Leafs don't need an overpaid dman that is pretty much done in the NHL. If the Habs still had Subban then there would be interest but the Habs decided to get fleeced so they could trade Subban for a worse player with a brutal contract. Not to mention Weber is declining and much older.

Habs don't have the pieces to touch much of the Leafs roster.

LOL yeah the Laffs couldnt use him. Go Bruins Go !!
Sure they could use him, there are a hundred players they and most teams could use.
Other factors need to be considered though and that generally complicates things to the point of not being practical.

Weber contract is notre that bad. Cap hit is 7,8 wich is good for a 1st D. At 36-37 His base salary Will be 3 millions and the year after 1 million. Si at that time, a team that would want to reach the floor could be interested.
