What will petter emanuelsson be at the NHL level?
Probably a bottom 6 guy.
He has great hands and a good motor. He also has decent two-way ability and a nice shot, but he vanishes for shifts at a time.
I'd call him a more skilled but less "lunch pail" (grind it out) Melker Karlsson, if that makes sense.
The problem is he hasn't found his niche. To stick in the NHL you have to be really good at what your role requires you to do. He doesn't have the offensive ability of a top 6 guy yet isn't anything more than slightly above average in any bottom 6 aspects. He'll likely find his way eventually, but it may take a few years, a few call ups, and a few organizations.
